disctester.org is a free DISC personality test. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you use the site. The short version is that there is very little to explain, because the site was built not to collect anything.

There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no email capture anywhere on this site. You can take the whole test and read every result without giving us anything.

What we collect

We do not collect or store personal data about you. Specifically, we do not ask for or hold:

• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
• Your test answers or your results, which never leave your browser
• Any account, profile or login of any kind, because none exists
• Any data you would need to request the deletion of, because we hold none

There is no database behind this site and no server-side processing of anything you do here. The pages are static files. Everything the test does happens in your own browser.

What is stored on your device

Two things are stored locally, both by the site itself and neither shared with anyone. Your answers are held in browser session storage while you are taking the test, so that a reload does not lose your progress. Session storage is cleared by your browser when you close the tab.

Your language choice is stored in local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. That is a five-character value such as "fr". You can clear both at any time through your browser's site data settings.

Advertising and cookies

This site is free and carries advertising to cover its costs. Ads are served by Google AdSense. We do not run any other advertising network.

Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your settings and your location, these may be used to personalise the ads you see, based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Third-party vendors may also serve ads based on that data. This is standard AdSense behaviour and it is not something this site configures per visitor.

Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message is shown before personalised advertising cookies are used. It is provided through Google's certified consent management platform. Personalised ads only run if you agree to them.

You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the Privacy settings link in the site footer, which reopens the same consent dialogue. That link only appears once Google's consent platform has loaded; if you do not see it, you can manage advertising personalisation directly in Google Ads Settings instead. Declining does not restrict any part of the test. You will still see advertising, but it will not be personalised.

Analytics

This site runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heatmap tool and no third-party tracking script of any kind beyond the AdSense code described above. We genuinely do not know how many people visit or which pages they read.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served through a content delivery network, which like any web server processes the technical information needed to deliver a page: your IP address, the requested URL, your browser's user agent and the time of the request. This is standard infrastructure logging, it is handled by the hosting provider rather than by us, and we do not use it to build any profile of you.

Your rights

The site is operated from Switzerland by Paul Largey, who is the data controller for anything this site does. Swiss data protection law, the GDPR in the EU, and equivalent law elsewhere give you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection over personal data held about you. Those rights apply to a controller who actually holds your data. We hold none, so in practice there is nothing here for us to disclose, correct or erase.

For advertising data held by Google as a result of your visit, the controls are Google's own. Google Ads Settings is the place to review and change them. If you believe something on this site is handled wrongly, write to us at contact@disctester.org and we will look into it.

Children

This site is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, including children. The test is written for an adult work context and the results will not be meaningful for a young child.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Since the site collects nothing, most future changes are likely to concern advertising or consent mechanics rather than anything about your personal data.
